‼️ Water Quality Notice ‼️
Blue-Green Algae Advisory
As part of our routine water quality monitoring, traces of blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) have been identified in the lake.
Blue-green algae is a naturally occurring organism that can increase during periods of warm weather. While the lake remains open, we ask all visitors to follow the guidance below to help keep themselves and others safe.
Please:
- Avoid swallowing lake water.
- Wash your hands after water activities and before eating.
- Shower as soon as possible after participating in water sports.
- Cover any cuts or grazes with a waterproof dressing before entering the water.
- Do not allow dogs or other animals to enter or drink from the lake.
- Seek medical advice if you feel unwell after water contact, particularly if you experience stomach upset, skin irritation, or flu-like symptoms.
Our water quality is regularly monitored, and we work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure appropriate safety measures are in place. This notice will be updated as conditions change.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
