Carl Slater – Managing Director

Carl Slater – Managing Director

Growing up in New Zealand, Carl always enjoyed the outdoors.  When he visited the UK he began working with adventure centres and activity camps.  He took on Horseshoe Lake in 2000, and has been dedicated to improving its provision of activities for visitors ever since.  As he has a young family himself, the expectations and needs of parents are never far from his mind when making decisions regarding the operation of the Centre.

As well as the Activity Centre, Carl also owns and operates Extreme Engineering Int, the UK’s leading mobile climbing unit and servicing business.  These innovative and exciting activity units provide fun, unique experiences for people all over the country.

He and his wife sponsor the charity ‘Avert’ and regularly donate to support the organisation and the valuable work they carry out.
