1 Day Course - Age 8 - 16 years

Our new RYA powerboat level 1 course costs just £125 per person for this 1-day course. This course is mainly practical based however there are elements of theory included.

This course is designed for those 8-16, we would recommend anyone 16 years old or over goes straight to the RYA powerboat Level 2.

So, a summary of what's included: -

  • RYA powerboat instructor
  • Bespoke made 5m Ribcraft RIB training boat with 60hp engine, as well as all fuel used
  • Buoyancy Aids
  • Undercover learning area with hot chocolate
  • RYA "Start Powerboating" book with completion certificate

Please ensure you bring with you appropriate clothing for the day, including shoes that can wet and waterproofs. Please make sure you have lunch with you, or make use of our delicious onsite Italian Café with sandwiches, pastries, cake and much more. Make sure waivers are completed prior to arrival.

Previous Experience Required: None

Launch and recovery (8–11-year-olds to observe), preparation of boat and crew, boat handling, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard (theory)

Once completing the course, you will be able to drive under supervision during daylight when the conditions are right.

Our RYA powerboat level 2 course costs just £230 per person for this 2-day course. This course is mainly practical based however there are elements of theory included.

This course is designed for those 16+ 

So, a summary of what's included: -

  • RYA powerboat instructor
  • Bespoke made 5m Ribcraft RIB training boat with 60hp engine, as well as all fuel used
  • Buoyancy Aids
  • Undercover learning area with hot drinks
  • RYA "Start Powerboating" book with completion certificate
