Holiday Activities - RYA Youth Courses

The RYA youth stage 1 introduces the basic skills required to begin your child's sailing journey! On completion of the syllabus, your child will receive a certificate, and can progress to stage 2

Please note that this course is run over 2 consecutive days from 8:30-16:30 and is catered for children aged 8-14. Your child is not guaranteed a certificate at the end of the course, your child must complete the syllabus to gain a certificate.

The RYA youth stage 3 course introduces more advance skills, and builds confidence to further develop your child's sailing journey! On completion of the syllabus, your child will receive a certificate, and can progress to stage 4

Please note that this course is run over 2 consecutive days from 8:30-16:30 and is catered for children aged 8-14. Your child is not guaranteed a certificate at the end of the course, your child must complete the syllabus to gain a certificate.

Your child must have completed their stage 2 to attend this course.

The RYA youth stage 2 course builds on the basic they skills would have learnt in the stage 1, and adds a few more skills to further develop your child's sailing journey! On completion of the syllabus, your child will receive a certificate, and can progress to stage 3

The RYA youth stage 4 course builds on the advanced skills would have been learnt in the stage 3, and introduces sailing "double handed" helping to develop your child's sailing journey! On completion of the syllabus, your child will receive a certificate, and can now look into specialist courses such as seamanship skills.
